Why cram a group project into your dorm room? Use one of Town Engineering’s many student computer labs. These labs are equipped with all the industry-standard software needed for classes, including AutoCad, MicroStation, MatLab and many more.
Computer support is available through ISU IT Services, or email ISU CCEE IT Support at firstname.lastname@example.org. The College of Engineering maintains a large repository of software available to students and faculty/staff as well. Find a full list of open labs across campus by visiting ISU IT Services’ Currently Open Labs website.
Featured laboratory: Kiewit Student Study Center
In 2016, ISU CCEE completed renovations to the Kiewit Student Study Center. This collaborative environment has nearly 40 computers equipped with all applicable engineering software for CCEE student use. The lab supplies students with a quiet place conducive to studying and group projects. Students can print full-scale drawings and plans on the lab’s specialty plotter printers. Off the main lab lies two team rooms. Here, students can outline projects, prepare for presentations and spend time getting ready for lessons with classmates and friends.
