Lecturer - Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering
Lecturer – Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering
The Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering (CCEE) at Iowa State University is seeking applications for lecturers to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the areas of construction, structures, transportation, environmental/water resources, or geotechnical/materials engineering. Position could be part-time or full-time; fraction is determined by amount of teaching. Successful candidates will have strong communication skills, exhibit a commitment to diversity/inclusivity, and contribute to the mission of the department.
Assistant, Associate or Full Professor
Assistant, Associate or Full Professor
The Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering (CCEE) Department at Iowa State University (ISU) seeks candidates for a faculty position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level, in a strategic area of need in construction engineering or transportation engineering. Targeted areas of interest include, but are not limited to, construction information technology, innovative construction systems and methods, construction or transportation data analytics, connected/autonomous vehicles, freight, transportation planning/economics, and design of transportation facilities. The successful candidate is envisioned to establish and sustain an externally funded research program and complement the current research and education efforts in the ISU CCEE Department through interdisciplinary collaboration. The candidate will teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, advise both graduate and undergraduate students, generate a scholarly publication record, participate in technical committees and outreach activities, and exhibit a commitment to inclusivity and diversity. Candidates should have strong communication skills and contribute to the mission of the department.
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer
Iowa State University’s Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering (ISU CCEE) seeks candidates for a term (non-tenure eligible) faculty position to teach engineering core courses at the undergraduate level. The successful candidate is envisioned to be a skilled and enthusiastic educator who is able to use an appropriate mix of traditional and innovative approaches, including asynchronous learning, to deliver the fundamentals of civil engineering and engineering mechanics. This person will teach courses at the undergraduate level, advise undergraduate students, participate in technical committees and outreach activities, and exhibit a commitment to inclusivity and diversity. Candidates should have strong communication skills and contribute to the mission of the department.
