Open positions

Outreach coordinator (program coordinator I/II)
Outreach coordinator Iowa State University’s Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering (ISU CCEE) is accepting applications for an outreach coordinator (program coordinator I or II). The outreach coordinator will be responsible for advancing outreach and liaison initiatives and activities with CCEE department stakeholders including students, alumni, donors, external advisory council members, and corporate partners. Outreach programs and activities will include developing and implementing an annual outreach operational plan to support and advance the department’s strategic plan, and planning and executing special events and programs to build and grow external relations. The department is initiating a series of events related to its 150th Anniversary as well as fundraising plan. Additionally, this position will provide administrative and strategic planning support for the department chair and associate chairs.  A program coordinator II will lead efforts related to industrial relations, identify areas of need and develop a fundraising plan, and coordinate with the college’s development team on execution of that plan, as well as perform other duties with a greater level of responsibility and autonomy than a program coordinator I. Lecturer Iowa State University’s Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering (ISU CCEE) invites applications for the position of lecturer.  This is a term teaching faculty position that holds responsibilities primarily contributing to the teaching mission of the department.  This position will be expected to teach and/or develop courses in the areas of construction, structures, transportation, environmental/water resources, or geotechnical/materials engineering or a closely related discipline. This position is for a 1-2 semester term with potential for renewal.  Lecturers hold limited terms, full, or part-time renewable appointments that are not eligible for tenure, but after 3 years have potential to be reviewed for advancement into senior ranks. Candidates are expected to have an excellent record of achievement in teaching or engineering practice in civil, construction or environmental engineering or a closely related discipline.  Successful candidates will have experience that demonstrates capability for long-term leadership in engineering education.  They will also exhibit excellent communication skills, share in our commitment to achieving excellence through diversity and inclusion.
