About CCEE and Iowa State University

The Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering (CCEE) at Iowa State University offers B.S. degree programs in civil engineering and construction engineering plus M.S., M.Eng., and Ph.D. graduate degree programs in civil engineering. It also maintains externally funded research in excess of $11 million annually. The department’s more than 50 full-time faculty members teach and mentor both undergraduate students and graduate students. CCEE is committed to diversity among faculty, staff and students who can enrich university objectives in the areas of research, teaching and service.

Additional research collaboration opportunities are encouraged through Iowa State’s Institute for Transportation[1] (InTrans) as well as numerous other institutes and centers that exist on campus. InTrans ranks seventh among the top university-based transportation research organizations in the United States with more than $14.2 million in annual expenditures from a variety of funding sources with 26 full-time researchers and 20 affiliated faculty members. InTranss faculty, researchers, and outreach professionals perform research, technology transfer, and education for public and private organizations, manage an academic-enrichment program for graduate students, provide local, regional, and national outreach and continuing education services, and delivery of regional and national conferences.
