Primary Area of Responsibility
•    Advising Coordinator for Construction Engineering (ConE) program
•    Advise freshman and transfer ConE students
•    Assist with coordination of learning community
•    Promote Con E undergraduate program


Description
•    Coordinate all advising activities for the ConE curriculum
•    Coordinate and organize advising nights for ConE students
•    Coordinate parent-student-faculty visits for potential students
•    Meet with undergraduate students to discuss program of study and progress toward degree
•    Enforce academic policies, procedures and graduation requirements
•    Counsel students on a variety of issues and refer to other resources when necessary
•    Promote student career development
•    Develop and conduct training programs for students, faculty advisers and staff related to orientation, registration, and academic progress
•    Organize and instruct orientation courses
•    Develop student recruitment and retention system
•    Meet with parents and students to discuss ConE learning opportunities
•    Assist with program and student assessment process
•    Compose letters of recommendation for students studying abroad and applying for reinstatement
•    Back up Academic Adviser for ConE faculty and CE adviser
•    Serve on ConE curriculum and college advising committees
