Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering

The inaugural Waldo W. Wegner Professorship in Civil Engineering was awarded to Associate Professor David White in 2007. The professorship was endowed by a gift from Iowa State University basketball legend and civil engineering alumnus Waldo Wegner and his wife, Katie. The Wegners also established a scholarship in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences (now the College of Human Sciences), and a men’s basketball scholarship. Wegner graduated from Iowa State in 1935 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
