End Date: 03/31/2005
Reports: Research Objective: The project was a feasibility study to determine how pervious (permeable) concrete pavements perform in cold weather applications. Potential applications include parking lots where pervious pavements can aid in both water quality and detention. Pervious pavements would be ideally suited to a number of existing and proposed structural controls to increase infiltration of precipitation from storm events, complement the use of temporary on-site storage of runoff to reduce peak discharge, and achieve measurable improvement in the quality of the runoff.
