Research Objective: Tests are conducted on using ozone to treat corn seeds. This has been shown to discourage fungal activity, which would degrade the corn and result in possible toxicity. The main expected advantage is a huge saving in energy for drying the corn as it could be stored at a higher moisture level, which would otherwise support fungal growth.
