Snow and Ice Operations Cost Analysis

Research Objective: This project will review the labor, equipment, and material data collection processes, weather severity indices, and performance measurement practices at Mn DOT and at other similar snowbelt organizations to identify promising strategies which might be used there. New strategies and implementation methods can then be implemented elsewhere to reduce costs and improve performance. The researchers will evaluate the strategies and develop strategy implementation for Mn DOT.
