Enhancements to the Iowa DOT Crash Mapping Analysis Tool (CMAT) Software

Research Objective: CTRE developed a GIS-based crash mapping and analysis tool (CMAT) for the graphical display and summarization of geo-referenced statewide crash data. The Iowa DOT has successfully deployed CMAT and the software is being used by engineers and law enforcement personnel throughout Iowa.

Change and modification requests by users are stemming from this deployment, resulting in a request by the Iowa DOT for a crash database update and several additions and enhancements to the CMAT software. CTRE has updated the database and implemented the specified add-on components and enhancements.
