Research Objective: The performance of pavements depends upon the quality of subgrades and subbases. The SUDAS geotechnical committee identified a need for a geotechnical design guide to improve subgrades and subbases. This project will build on existing DOT projects and develop a design guide to used for subgrades and subbases

Research Plan: The proposed study is organized in main tasks: 1.Review and compile findings from previous and ongoing research 2.Evaluate subgrade and subbase construction aspects 3.Evaluate best practices for subgrades and subbases 4.Prepare design guide
