Research Objective: 1. Establish a retroreflectivity guideline to assist in identifying needs due to wear or marking damage over the winter and in developing marking needs and priorities each spring.
2. Develop a county and city pavement marking application matrix that will provide guidance on the selection of marking materials based on roadway type, pavement service life, user needs, and other factors specific to local agency conditions.
3. Address quality control issues for cities and counties to improve the efficience and effectiveness of pavement markings on all marked public roadways.
