Livesay Structural Materials Testing Lab
- Doug Wood, lab manager, demos the compression testing equipment during its dedication on April 30, 2004.
The Livesay Structural Materials Testing Facility (LSMTF) is inside the main testing room in 164 Town Engineering. The recently upgraded equipment in this area uses state-of-the-art computer technology.
The equipment includes
- a 400,000 pound capacity universal testing machine for applying tension and compression loading
- an MTS 110,000 pound capacity materials fatigue machine used for dynamic and cyclic load testing.
