Over Half-Way
I just realized that the middle of last week was roughly half-way through the semester and this week is the 9th week. It feels like the semester just started and I was just getting adjusted to all of my classes. So far it has been on incredibly busy semester with staying up until the early hours of the morning. Luckily though this week is a small reprieve from that schedule; I have been able to relax a little and do thing I enjoy like playing ping-pong in the Town Engineering lobby (yes we have a ping-pong table and yes I have spent way too much time on it the past week). It’s always nice to work for a couple of hours and then spend a few minutes playing ping-pong and giving your mind a rest. I know I start to get a little stir-crazy if I look at the same homework or project for over three hours.
On Monday I had my first CE 532 exam and I thought it went decently. I know I made a lot of dumb mistakes but hopefully I can learn from them and on the next exam, take my time and really think things over. Next time I know I will do better since I know what to expect and I will have one exam under my belt. The rest of this week doesn’t look to bad homework and project wise; I have smaller assignments that I need to finish for the beginning of next week and I will probably start studying for my two exams next week. I am also working on putting in our building for senior design into a program called Revit. I really like the program; it has a lot of different functions and can do almost anything you want (you can even import a crane to place on site). Tonight I think I am going to take a break around 8 pm to watch a new show I recently got into called Pushing Daisies. After that I will have to get back to my homework and keep getting things accomplished.
