A Nwe Year, A New Semester
It has been two weeks since the semester get start. I am getting enjoy my study and life so far.
First thing I want to share with you is that tomorrow is our Chinese New Year! I fell exciting as before I had. I called my families tonight since I know it’s a good time to talk with them, our topic could be Iowa’s big snow, cold weather, the new year party with my classmates yesterday night, my busy but fun time be around this new semester. My grandma said they were cook for the meal and she was curious about the heavy snow we had here, she hope they had some snow as we do because the city was dry and warm, maybe her memory years ago had been snow a lot in winters as now I experience now.
This semester, I have a busy study as before. Senior design will be a good class for built up our abilities to work with my classmates as a pretend company, also it’s a challenge for most of entry level engineer like us because this time the professor won’t tell you what you should do, in contrast we will looking for available methods to solve various problems from various design and construction concern. Like I am taking responsible on Hydrology and environment part, then I will think how to set proper number pumps in building and the parking lot, as well as the concern like how to prevent from contamination problems. The process could be very fresh because I have never did such a challenged project, it’s also a fun time because of working with my team makes it possible that a huge project with various aspect like archithica,l structure, environment, hydraulic, geotechnical, and construction hang out together . I expect my effort put on it, I hope I can really learn something through this process.
Last but not least Best wishes for all my friends in here and in China; hope we will have something little fun in the advent of Chinese New Year.
