Jaselskis Named to Klinger Endowed Professorship, Jahren Appointed Warren Scholar

Ames, Iowa – Ed Jaselskis, professor of construction engineering at Iowa State University, has been appointed to the W.A. Klinger Professorship and to serve as division head for the construction engineering program. The professorship, held by the professor-in-charge of the construction engineering division, provides support for course development, graduate assistants, laboratory equipment, scholarly travel, and research projects. Jaselskis’ appointment was effective August 16.

Chuck Jahren, associate professor in construction engineering, previously held the professor-in-charge position and Klinger professorship. Jahren will now serve as the Warren Scholar of Distance Education in Civil Engineering. In this position, Jahren will oversee and manage civil, construction, and environmental engineering distance education course offerings, market the new online graduate programs offered by the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering (CCEE), and chair the CCEE Distance Education Committee. This is a three-year appointment, and Jahren began serving in this role August 16.
