I retired June 1st after 42 ½ years with Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Seattle, Washington, I performed structural analyses and design support for many Boeing airplanes. I engaged in testing, certification, and customer support as well as became director of structures engineering and director of engineering technology. I plan to continue serving on the industry advisory board for the CCEE department and as a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

I retired from Intel Corporation at the end of 2001. I managed design-build projects for internal customers and start-ups. I’m currently the president of the Portland chapter of the Project Management Institute. The chapter has over 1,030 members.

I have been inducted into the Gallery of Distinguished Civilian Employees of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Rock Island District in Rock Island, Illinois. I retired in 1997 as chief of the Hydrology and Hydraulics Branch. I worked for the Corps for 37 years. Also, I served on the Civil Engineering Advisory Board at Iowa State in the 1970s when Dr. Carl Ekberg was head of the CCEE department.
