Veishea 2006

After taking a hiatus last year, Veishea returned in 2006. Iowa State took Veishea back to its roots by returning the focus to highlighting student and academic success.

On Friday, April 21, middle school students from Des Moines toured the newly renovated Wallace W. and Julia B. Sanders Structures Laboratory. Graduate students in structural engineering organized activities for them including building bridges with toothpicks and gumdrops, designing bridges with design software, and watching a health monitoring test.
