Assistant/associate/full professor in structural engineering
Assistant/associate/full professor in structural engineering Iowa State University’s Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering (ISU CCEE) seeks candidates for a faculty position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level in the core areas of structural engineering with strong interdisciplinary interests. The successful candidate is envisioned to establish and sustain their own externally funded research program and complement the current research and education efforts in the ISU CCEE Department through interdisciplinary collaboration. They will teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels preferably using innovative teaching skills where appropriate, advise both graduate and undergraduate students, generate a scholarly publication record, participate in technical committees and outreach activities, and exhibit a commitment to inclusivity and diversity. Candidates should have strong communication skills and contribute to the mission of the department.
Lecturer Iowa State University’s Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering (ISU CCEE) invites applications for the position of lecturer.  This is a term teaching faculty position that holds responsibilities primarily contributing to the teaching mission of the department.  This position will be expected to teach and/or develop courses in the areas of construction, structures, transportation, environmental/water resources, or geotechnical/materials engineering or a closely related discipline. This position is for a 1-2 semester term with potential for renewal.  Lecturers hold limited terms, full, or part-time renewable appointments that are not eligible for tenure, but after 3 years have potential to be reviewed for advancement into senior ranks. Candidates are expected to have an excellent record of achievement in teaching or engineering practice in civil, construction or environmental engineering or a closely related discipline.  Successful candidates will have experience that demonstrates capability for long-term leadership in engineering education.  They will also exhibit excellent communication skills, share in our commitment to achieving excellence through diversity and inclusion.
