CCEE Graduate Fellowship Endowment
Criteria for Recipient Selection
(Developed by CCEE June 2002)
Persons who receive this award must
- Be offered at least a ¼ time graduate assistantship from other funds
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or above
- Have excellent potential for success in the graduate program (through
recommendation by nominating faculty member)
Conditions
- Except in very unusual circumstances, the award shall be for a one-year
period
- At least two awards shall be made each academic year
- If all of the available funds are not awarded in a given year, the Department
Chair may use the remaining funds as supplemental travel and other support
for graduate students who present a paper at a conference.
Applications
Applications for the following academic year should be submitted to the Department Chair by April 15.
Applications will be ranked and evaluated by the Administrative Council.
Applications should contain the following:
- Cover memo from nominating faculty member describing source of funds for
graduate assistantship, role of student in research program, and evaluation
of potential for success in the graduate program;
- Materials submitted by the student for graduate school admission.
