Cancellation or Withdrawing Registration

Period 1 – First week of class

Period 2 – Second week through drop deadline (last Friday in March or October)

Period 3 – After drop deadline

Prior to Period 1

  • Can be done over the web by dropping all classes
  • Should still notify the Registrar
  • Should avoid any fees if done early enough

Period 1

  • Must formally withdraw
  • Requires approval by an advisor and COE
  • Will be liable for a portion of fees

Period 2

  • Must formally withdraw
  • Requires approval by an advisor and COE
  • Fees prorated only through the 40th day of class

Period 3

  • Approved only in case of “extenuating circumstances”
  • May be referred to COE Academic Standards Committee
  • May ask for documentation (health records, etc.)
